Daniel Howitt is the CEO and co-founder of Recap, a crypto tax calculation service.He has worked in software development for more than 10 years and has been involved in crypto since 2013 - having seen multiple market cycles. In 2017, he realised there were no real options out there to help him understand his own crypto tax position or to help pay his contributions. This led to him founding Recap.Recap enables cryptocurrency investors to discover their tax position and pay Capital Gains Tax due on their crypto investments. The platform offers real-time tracking of accounts and supports all exchanges and wallets.Alongside his work with Recap, Dan is also co-chair of CryptoUK’s tax working group, an industry trade group and has led responses to HMRC consultations and calls for evidence requests.
