Jiajie Zhang

Jiajie Zhang is a cryptographer and blockchain infrastructure engineer at EY UK, where she contributes the development of privacy-enhancing Layer 2 systems on public Ethereum infrastructure. She has helped architect and implement Nightfall, a zk-rollup system for confidential asset transfers, and Starlight, a modular privacy layer for general-purpose ZK applications. Her work bridges enterprise requirements with decentralized protocols, addressing real-world challenges like auditability, circuit performance, regulatory compliance, and ZK system resilience. Jiajie holds a PhD in Cryptography and is an active contributor to zk-Rust ecosystems and applied cryptographic research.
