Mauricio Magaldi

Mauricio Magaldi is Shielded's Head of Product, Design, and Developer Relations and has an extensive history of leading digital transformation programs in financial services. Since reading the Bitcoin whitepaper in 2014, Mauricio has dedicated his time personally and professionally to researching Blockchain applications, including advising founders, fintechs, banks, and regulators on opportunities presented by decentralized technologies. Mauricio is a Certified Information Management Professional in Data Governance, holds a BSc in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Sao Carlos, and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from FIA, both in Brazil. Before joining Shielded, Mauricio held digital transformation and data roles at Citi, HSBC, IBM, and 11:FS.When he’s not crafting the next iteration of Midnight’s roadmap, Mauricio hosts his own podcast (BlockDrops) focused on Blockchain for business and plays drums with VersOver, the Brazilian metal band he co-founded in 1997.
